The Strategic Planning Workshop on Stop Lynas Campaign was organized by Kuantan Concern Citizen (KCC) at 2nd Floor, GC Curry House Seminar Hall, Jalan Air Putih, Kuantan, Pahang on 24^th September 2011, from 2:00pm to 6:00pm. KCC invited Kuantan MP YB Fuziah Sallleh who has been spearheading the action against Lynas since year 2008 to facilitate the workshop. The purpose of the workshop is to consolidate and coordinate the efforts on stopping Lynas (LAMP). The intention is also to harmonize the variances among different establishments and to converge all efforts in ensuring that Lynas is prevented from operating in Malaysia. We hope that with the concerted effort all the organizations coupled with the leadership of YB Fuziah Salleh, the campaign against Lynas can be shifted to a higher level. This of course can only be achieved with the sincere commitment and determination of everyone.

The Press Conference was held 30 minutes after the workshop completed. The workshop resolution is forming the “Stop Lynas Coalition” supports by NGOs, NGIs, Malaysia Medical Association (MMA), Pahang Bar Council and various interest groups was announced during the Press Conference.
